Expanding Ethereum's Twin Goals: A Cultura Perspective
Vitalik Buterin recently outlined two core goals for Ethereum's future:
Meaningful Usage: Users benefiting directly from Ethereum’s fundamental properties.
Resilience and Decentralization: Holistic security, decentralization, and minimizing systemic weaknesses.
These are foundational. They define Ethereum’s path toward being more than just infrastructure, but moving toward being a neutral, trusted base layer for the internet of the future. But in a world evolving faster than ever, we believe it's time to add two more goals to the mix, essential pillars that build on Vitalik's vision while preparing Ethereum for what comes next.
3. Credible Neutrality and Radical Legibility
Ethereum’s greatest power isn't just decentralization. It's credible neutrality, the fact that it serves no king, no corporation, no government. It is a base layer anyone can build on, trustless and impartial. Yet neutrality isn't static. It has to be earned and maintained, especially as new stakeholders, institutions, and incentives enter the ecosystem. Part of maintaining neutrality is legibility, making Ethereum’s workings clear, understandable, and auditable to everyone, not just insiders. The future demands more than decentralization behind the scenes; it demands transparency that users can feel and verify. It demands systems that aren't just fair but obviously fair.

Cultura was founded on the belief that decentralization must be holistic. That means:

Ethereum's strength has always been its constellation of builders. The next era should see that constellation multiply, not narrow.
